Vote-By-Mail in Massachusetts

New legislation allows voters in our state to vote by mail during the 2020 elections: September 1st primary and the November 3rd general election. Applications were mailed on July 15th. If you received a card, send it in (no postage required)! If you did not receive a card, you can apply online:


(1) Request a mail-in application: LInk

(2) Print the PDF document.

(3) Fill it out, sign it, and date it.

(4) Mail or drop off to your local town clerk.

Deadlines:

To register in MA: The deadline to register to vote for the September 1st primary will be Saturday, August 22nd. The deadline to register to vote for the November 3rd election will be Saturday, October 24th.


To submit in your vote-by-mail or absentee ballot application for the primary: 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26th.

To submit in your vote-by-mail or absentee ballot for the the state election: 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28th.


In-person voting in Wayland for primary: Saturday, August 22nd through Friday, August 28th
