About the event

Democrats in Wayland will be holding a caucus on Saturday, February 29th to elect delegates to the 2020 Massachusetts Democratic Convention.  

Date: February 29, 2020

Time: Registration begins at 12:30pm, Caucus begins at 1pm

Location: Large Hearing Room, Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Rd, Wayland

This year, the Convention will be held Saturday, May 30th at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, where thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to discuss Democratic Party business and celebrate our successes as we prepare for upcoming elections. 

The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Wayland. Pre-registered Democrats who turned 16 by February 15, 2020 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Wayland can elect nine (9) delegates and three (3) alternates. 

Youth, minorities, and people with disabilities who are not elected as delegates or alternates may apply to be "add-on" delegates at the caucus or at

Doors will open at 12:30 PM for registration, and the caucus begins at 1 PM. Delegates and those voting for them must be registered as Democrats on or before June 8th.  Those registering as Democrats after January 1, 2020 are strongly urged to bring the receipt provided by the Town Clerk with them.
